According to Polish Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna the ongoing turmoil in Ukraine and the Donbass region crisis is strengthening unity in Europe.
He also defended Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's policies, saying, "Those who put Poroshenko's political course in doubt, his
cooperation with the Ukrainian parliament and the efforts the country
makes to implement economic reforms, wish Ukraine ill fortune".
he minister also underscored that NATO plays a major role in the current situation.
"We must know how to defend ourselves. Our goal is to maintain order.
The OSCE is one of the instruments we would need to settle the
Ukrainian crisis. NATO, in its turn, is becoming a structure which could
protect its neighbors," he said.
He also underscored that Poland hopes to have normal relations with Russia.
