Just when you think horror movies have run out of new twists, we get a killer mermaid movie made in Poland exhibited at Sundance Film Festival. Unlike the famous mermaid of Warsawa - a pair of siren sisters who can ditch their tail get
hired to sing at a nightclub and also eat people. Like the Rocky Horror Picture Show, it's a musical with some really great music.
Emily Yoshida of The Verge said: it's the first feature from Polish director Agnieszka Smoczyńska, and the fact that it exists at all is inspiring — the fact that it's gorgeous, rendered in lurid neon and dingy Miami Vice pastels, makes it go down even easier.
